In today’s fast-changing learning environments, traditional support roles are getting a fresh makeover.

This workshop dives into how we can shift from conventional classroom assistance to a more dynamic, coaching-centered approach—one that empowers not just teachers, but students too.

Why this shift from support to coaching matters?

Today’s classrooms are more dynamic and demanding than ever—shaped by diverse learning needs, rising emotional challenges, and the constant presence of technology.
While digital tools can lead to distraction, they also open powerful opportunities for creativity, collaboration, and personalized learning.
In this evolving landscape, students need more than general support—they need coaching that helps them navigate complexity, stay focused, and use technology with intention.
Coaching builds strong relationships, fosters self-direction, and encourages deeper engagement. It also elevates the role of support staff, recognizing their ability to guide, empower, and co-create meaningful learning experiences.

How this shift will impact schools?

When support roles evolve into coaching roles, the ripple effect transforms the whole school ecosystem. Students become more engaged, confident, and self-directed—leading to stronger academic outcomes and improved wellbeing.

Support staff feel more valued and empowered, which boosts morale, retention, and a sense of purpose. Teachers benefit from having skilled collaborators who can share responsibility for guiding students, allowing for deeper, more differentiated teaching.

Schools that embrace this shift cultivate inclusive, responsive learning environments where every adult contributes as a mentor—and every student feels seen, supported, and inspired to grow.

Meet Your Facilitator

Sonthaya Chutisacha; MSc. Counseling Psychology
My background in counseling psychology, coupled with hands-on experience as a school counselor, learning coach, and institute leader, has given me a deep understanding of what unlocks student potential.
I created this workshop because I’ve seen firsthand just how vital education assistants are to the heartbeat of a classroom.
You do far more than “help”—you guide, nurture, and make space for students to shine.
My goal is to equip you with the frameworks, insights, and inner tools to thrive—not just in your role, but in your growth as a professional and a person.
This isn’t just about strategy.
It’s about remembering why you chose this path—and helping you walk it with clarity, purpose, and heart.
